My Story – A Heritage Beyond Time
It all started with my grandmother, a true healer of the village. If you saw her working, you’d think the plants whispered their secrets to her. She taught me that nature holds answers to every need if you know where to look and how to listen.
With every infusion, with every balm she crafted by hand, I fell in love with the world of plants. But I didn’t stop at childhood memories—besides my studies in restoration and heritage conservation, I also pursued studies in phytotherapy and naturopathy to bring this knowledge into a modern, accessible form.
At Hodaia, every product tells a story. Each soap, oil, or balm is deeply rooted in the traditional recipes I inherited. But I’ve learned to bring them into today’s world, adapting them to contemporary lifestyles, making them more efficient and accessible.
This is how I’ve transformed my grandmother’s old recipes into a modern line of natural skincare.
Hodaia’s Story
Hodaia was officially founded in 2019, but its roots run much deeper, grounded in the traditional medicine knowledge passed down through my family and the modern practices I’ve discovered over the years. The name Hodaia is inspired by a word used in Transylvania to describe a "room", "village hearth", or "shepherd’s hut". It evokes a place of care, connection, and healing. In many ways, Hodaia is a place that makes you feel at "home"—a space that embodies authenticity, nature, and the wisdom of the past.
The Hodaia center and my laboratory are nestled in the lush green forests and abundant meadows of Valea Zălanului, where I craft high-quality, natural personal care products. Hodaia is deeply rooted in the wilderness and beauty of Transylvania's landscapes, where cultural and biological diversity flourish.
My mission is to continue the legacy of traditional healing passed down by my grandmother, blending the wisdom of the old world with the science and needs of the modern world. Each Hodaia product is a tribute to the simplicity of nature, created with deep respect for tradition and sustainability.
