Cold pressed safflower seed oil (Carthamnus tinctorius)
Rich in linoleic acid and vitamin E.
Safflower oil softens and moisturizes the skin, making it more pliable and easier to shave. Its anti-inflammatory properties reduce irritation and redness, ensuring a more comfortable shaving experience. This oil is our own creation and its journey begins in Hodaia Gardens every spring when we plant a new Safflower crop and ends in autumn when we harvest the seeds and cold press them to obtain liquid gold.
Oregano essential oil (Origanum vulgare)
Antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.
Oregano essential oil has strong antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, helping to reduce inflammation and prevent infection. Its antioxidant properties protect the skin from environmental damage, promoting its health and healing. Obtained through the traditional steam distillation technique, this oil created in Hodaia's own laboratory is obtained from the wild oregano plant. We created a safflower culture from the seeds of some plants collected in the Călimani mountains, and their quality is felt in the final product.
Peppermint essential oil (Mentha piperita)
Cooling, soothing, antimicrobial and antiseptic.
Peppermint essential oil provides an immediate cooling sensation that helps soothe irritated and inflamed skin. Its antimicrobial properties help prevent infections and keep the skin clean. For the senses it is a real sedative that helps at the same time for better concentration. I purchase these oils from a small family brand in a commune in Bucovina, where they have several plantations of medicinal and aromatic plants.
Sage essential oil (Salvia officinalis)
Antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antifungal and balancing.
Sage essential oil helps balance sebum production and keep skin clean and healthy. Its anti-inflammatory properties reduce irritation and promote skin healing. Sage essential oil is produced in the Hodaia laboratory using the traditional steam distillation technique, from plants grown in their own gardens.

Packaging
Product packaging
All Hodaia products are individually wrapped in recycled paper, recycled cardboard or wood wool. Even if they don't use foils, I can assure you that the products will be well packed, so that they reach you in good condition. Sometimes you may notice that you receive the package in a box that was previously used for packages. I think it is more important not to waste extra things and garbage. However, the products will be individually in new, clean packaging. If you would like to receive the products specially wrapped to be given as a gift, do not hesitate to contact me and I will do my best to ensure that you fully enjoy your purchase.
Each Hodaia product is created by hand, in small batches, without the help of industrial equipment. Each batch may differ slightly in texture, color or smell. This is because the ingredients (plant extracts, essential oils, plant powders or cold-pressed oils) can show small differences from season to season, depending a lot on the harvest period, if it was a drier period or for other reasons related to nature. These differences will in no way affect the quality and effectiveness of the products.
We use only pure natural ingredients extracted from medicinal plants, carefully selected. No parabens, sulfates, or other harmful substances.
We prevent resource waste by using only nature-friendly packaging (recycled, recyclable, and reusable).
We blend modern science with Romanian tradition, using ancient recipes passed down through our family for over four generations.
